Maryland Softball Announces Non-Conference Schedule

COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland softball head coach Lauren Karn announced the program's 2024 schedule on Wednesday, as she enters her first season in College Park. The 2024 slate features a strong non-conference schedule against some of the top teams in the country including UCLA, Florida State, Washington and Oregon.

Maryland welcomes ten newcomers to the roster for the upcoming season as the team looks to build off of its 38-win 2023 season, the most since 2011.

The Terps open up their season in California with a packed three-day schedule. Maryland faces San Diego and UCLA on February 9 at UCLA. The Terps then travel south to Los Angeles to face Loyola Marymount University in a double-header on February 10. The team will stay at LMU to close out their west coast trip against California State University at Northridge on February 11.

Maryland will then head to Southeastern Louisiana for the Lion Classic on Feb. 16-18. The Terps will open the weekend against Southeast Missouri, followed by a pair of matches against Syracuse before taking on the host team SE Louisiana. They close out the tournament versus Southeast Missouri.

The Terps travel to Stetson University in Florida for the Stetson Invitational for their third tournament of the season as they face Stetson, Wisconsin-Green Bay, and Long Island. The tournament begins on Feb. 23 and will wrap up on Feb. 25.

Maryland heads back west to Oregon for their fourth tournament. Between Feb. 29 and March 2, the Terps will face Washington, Oregon, Florida State, and Mount Saint Mary's over a five-game span.

Maryland will play at home for the first time as it hosts Saint Peters on March 6. They will continue their home-stand with a three-game series against Boston College on March 8-10 and a game against their local rival, Virginia, on March 12.

The Terps will welcome Bryant, Purdue-Fort Wayne, Fairfield, and Lafayette for the Terrapin Invitational over the weekend of March 15-17. Maryland will then close out its non-conference schedule against James Madison on March 19.
