WACO, TX – Courtney Wyche delivered 13 Ks to power the No. 21 Terps over Texas A&M Commerce, 3-1. With the win, Maryland finished 2-3 on the weekend to take third place in the Baylor Invitational. The Terps moved to 10-4 overall. 

After giving up a run in the first inning, Wyche pitched lights out, only allowing two hits for the remainder of the game. The senior retired the side in four separate innings. 

A dominant bottom of the first from the Terps offense gave the team the lead they needed to ultimately take the win.  

Jaeda McFarland went 3-of-3 with an RBI and a run scored. The Terps' other hits came from Michaela Jones and Sydney Lewis. Jones also drove in a run.

• Texas A&M Commerce scored in the top of the first off of a RBI double. 
• Maryland quickly got the run back and more as Jaeda McFarland's RBI single drove in Megan Mikami, who had just stolen second. With the bases loaded, Michaela Jones walked to advance McFarland home. Still loaded, Madison Runyan was hit by a pitch, scoring Mackense Greico on third and putting the Terps up 3-1 going into the second stanza.

• 5: Wyche had double-figure strikeouts for the fifth time in her career. 
• 20: McFarland continued her hot-streak in the batter's box, slapping three hits today for 20 total hits and a .444 AVG on the season.
