
Maryland Finds Success at Doc Hale Invitational

BLACKSBURG, VA – The Maryland Track and Field squads competed on day two of the Doc Hale Invitational at Virginia Tech.
Anna Coffin led the way for the Terps on day two of competition, setting another big personal record enroute to winning the mile.

Women's Notes:

Anna Coffin set another big 5-second personal record in the mile, finishing in 4:45.74 and winning the event. Her time ranks 3rd all time at Maryland. Amanda Eliker (5:02.96) also set a new personal best in the event. Sophie Zell (5:12.66) had a season best performance. Samantha Facius also competed.

Jayla Bynum (15.70m) set a personal record and took second place in the shot put. Kamryn Henderson (14.31m) had a season best performance. Sarah George (14.02m) and Kayla Thorpe (13.35m) also competed in the event.

Michaela Bracken (1.68m) took fourth in the high jump with a season best performance. Alyssa Miller also competed in the event.

Madison Depry (25.17) and Ashley Thomas (25.98) competed in the 200m.

Maryland's 4x400 squad (3:44.94) of Kattiana Ealy-Pulido, Kyra Lyles, Michaela Bracken and Lydia Robling sprinted to a season best finish to close out the meet.
Men's Notes:

Jeff Kline (18.85m) took second place in the shot put. Rhys Allen (15.67m) also competed.

Gerald Norgbe (14.70m) took sixth in the triple jump.

"We had a lot of big performances this weekend with people continuing to step up and taking advantage of the chance to compete."
Next Up:
The Terps will be back in action on Friday, when they travel to both Clemson and Liberty University to compete.
