COLLEGE PARK, MD - No. 10 Maryland will play its final non-conference road game of the season this Wednesday as the Terps travel up to Philadelphia for the third time this season to face No. 24 Penn at Franklin Field. The game will begin at 5:00 p.m. and air on ESPN Plus.Franklin Field

- The Terps have won four games in a row, outscoring its opponents 66-22 over that stretch. Freshman Kori Edmondson has led the Maryland offense during the winning streak, tallying 13 goals and 16 points. The No. 1 freshman in the country has a hat-trick in five straight games.
- Maryland opened up conference play with a 16-8 win over No. 22 Rutgers on Saturday. Attacker Eloise Clevenger tallied a career-high eight points (three goals, five assists) to pace the offense while Hannah Leubecker had five goals of her own.
- Goalie Emily Sterling has also been tremendous during Maryland's four game winning streak, tallying 33 saves to only 22 goals allowed, a .600 save percentage. The senior tallied 15 saves to only four goals allowed in the Terps win over Georgetown, the best save percentage (.789) of her career.

50th Season of maryland women's lacrosse
- The 2023 season will be the 50th season of Maryland women's lacrosse, a program that has been the most successful in the entire sport since its start.
- Maryland has won 15 national championships and 31 conference championships. The Terps have participated in 28 Final Fours, including 12 of the last 13 and have won 12 of the last 28 national championships, including seven-straight from 1995-2001. Maryland has an all-time program record of 766-153-3 through 49 seasons.

- Emily Sterling returns as the National Goalkeeper of the Year to backline the Maryland defense in 2023. She finished the year second in the nation in both save percentage (.531) and goals against average (7.87) and had the highest save percentage ever in Big Ten play at .626.
- Sterling has 33 saves to only 22 goals allowed over the last four games, a .600 save percentage.
- Sterling was also the Big Ten Goaltender of the Year, an IWLCA First Team All-American, a Tewaaraton nominee, First Team All-Big Ten selection, a four-time National Player of the Week and five-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. The senior was chosen as the USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason National Goaltender of the Year.

- In the Terps game against Drexel, Shaylan Ahearn became only the sixth Terp in program history to surpass the 200 career draw control mark with 14. In the Terps game at #7 Florida, Ahearn past Dana Dobbie (2007-08) to move into fifth all-time in career draw controls at Maryland. Ahearn, who tallied 35 draw controls in the Terps last four games, is now three draw controls behind Karri Ellen Johnson (2008-12) for fourth all-time in program history.
- Ahearn tallied 115 draw controls last season, the eighth-most in a single season in program history.
- Another Terp, Abby Bosco, also eclipsed the 200 draw control mark at Villanova and now has 212 in her career. 131 of those have come as a Terp, 81 at Penn, where she played from 2018-21.

- Reese and the Terps added one of the top transfers out of the portal for the 2023 season in 2022 Ivy League Defender of the Year Marge Donovan. The grad student was the Ivy League Defender of the Year, a Third Team IWLCA All-American, a First-Team All-Ivy selection and the Ivy League Tournament Most Outstanding Player in 2022 as she graduated as Princeton's all-time leader in career draw controls (214) and draws in a season (112 in 2022).
- Maryland also welcomes the nation's top freshmen class, highlighted by the No. 1 recruit in the 2022 Class, midfielder Kori Edmondson. The class also features top-10 ranked signees Jaylen Rosga and Maggie Weisman.

- Head Coach Cathy Reese enters her 17th season at the helm of Maryland women's lacrosse. The winningest coach in program history, Reese is 309-37 as head coach and has led the Terps to five National Championships, 12 Final Fours and 22 Conference Championships.
- Maryland is 163-6 at home under Reese, with nine undefeated home campaigns in the last 11 seasons (2013, '14, '15, '16, '17, '18, '19, '21).

- The Terps lead the all-time series against Penn, 26-2. Maryland has won 13-straight against Penn dating back to 2007 and has never lost to the Quakers under head coach Cathy Reese.
- Maryland defeated Penn, 15-11 last season in College Park. Eloise Clevenger collected her first career hat trick in the win, scoring three goals.
- Abby Bosco played four seasons at Penn from 2018-21, with this marking her first trip back to Franklin Field. Bosco totaled 90 groundballs, 81 draw controls and 42 caused turnovers to go with 18 goals and two assists while playing midfield at Penn.
