COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The Maryland women's basketball team (27-6) will take on No. 3-seeded Notre Dame (27-5) Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the NCAA Regional Semifinals at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C. Saturday's game will be televised on ESPN.

What's UP
- Maryland is the No. 2 seed in the Greenville 1 Regional in the NCAA Tournament. The Terrapins will take on 3rd-seeded Notre Dame (27-5) Saturday in the NCAA Regional Semifinals.
- This is the Terps' 13th straight NCAA Tournament appearance, dating back to 2010, and 18th in head coach Brenda Frese's 21 seasons at Maryland (2020 NCAA Tournament was canceled). Maryland is 52-28 (.650) all-time in the NCAA Tournament and 40-16 (.714) under Frese.
- The Terrapins are 8-4 vs. ranked teams this season and have five wins over top 10 teams. The Terps won 27 games with the second-toughest schedule in the country, according to the Massey Ratings.
- Miller was named a WBCA Division I Coaches All-America finalist. She also earned Second Team All-America honors from The Athletic, the Associated Press and the USBWA.
- Miller and Sellers were named to ESPN's Top 25 list of players in the Sweet 16. Miller was No. 4 and Sellers was No. 18.
- Miller was named a unanimous All-Big Ten First Team selection by the league's head coaches and media panel. Shyanne Sellers was voted to the First Team by the media, Second Team by the coaches and earned All-Defensive Team honors. Abby Meyers was named to the Second Team by both groups and Faith Masonius earned a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.
- Diamond Miller was named a Wodden Award Finalist, a finalist for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, as well as the Wade Watch and Naismith Midseason lists.
- Shyanne Sellers was named to the Cheryl Miller Award Final 10 list for the nation's top small forward.
- Maryland has five 1,000 point scorers (Miller - 1,640; Meyers - 1,414; Briggs - 1,189; Alexander - 1,128; Pinzan - 1,029).
- Maryland women's basketball is in its 52nd season and owns a record of 1,105-449 (.711). The Terrapins are No. 11 all-time in NCAA Division I history in winning percentage and No. 9 in all-time victories.
- Senior Diamond Miller was named to the 10-player Preseason All-Big Ten Team for the second straight season to start the year. She is a two-time All-Big Ten honoree and was the 2021 Big Ten Tournament Co-MOP.
- Maryland was picked to finish fourth in the Big Ten by both the league's head coaches and media panel. Both groups picked Iowa to win the conference. The coaches selected Ohio State to finish second, Indiana to finish third with Michigan rounding out the top five. The media panel picked Indiana to finish second, Ohio State third and Michigan fifth.
- Two-time National Coach of the Year Brenda Frese brought in nine new players this season, including AP Honorable Mention All-American honoree Abby Meyers (Princeton), All-SEC transfer Lavender Briggs (Florida), All-AAC transfer Elisa Pinzan (USF), SEC graduate transfer Brinae Alexander (Vanderbilt) and All-CAA transfer Allie Kubek (Towson).
- All five transfers averaged over 9.0 points per game last year - Meyers (17.9), Alexander (15.2), Briggs (12.5), Kubek (12.2) and Pinzan (9.3).

- Frese owns a career record of 619-176 (.779) over her 24 years as a head coach.
- Frese was named National Coach of the Year by the AP, The Athletic and ESPN at the end of the 2020-21 season. In October 2021, Frese was the first woman inducted into the Washington DC Metro Basketball Hall of Fame.
- With the Terrapins' win at Nebraska on Feb. 14, 2021, Frese picked up win No. 500 at Maryland, which makes her the winningest coach in Maryland basketball history. Hall of Fame women's basketball head coach Chris Weller won 499 games in her 27 seasons (1975-02).
