Freshmen Lead Way As No. 11 Maryland Dominates William & Mary, 22-4

COLLEGE PARK, MD – No. 11 Maryland women's lacrosse dominated William & Mary, 22-4, on Wednesday afternoon at SECU Stadium to get back in the win column and move to 4-3 overall this season.

"Proud of our team's effort today," said head coach Cathy Reese. "We talk a lot about the little things and a lot of our categories and team goals and we did a great job in executing them. We shot over 50-percent, our eight meters were better, we did a great job with draw controls. Across the board to have as many different scorers as we did and have as many assists we had shows how well balanced we are and the potential our offense has. Tonight was great for us coming off the last couple of games."

Eleven different Terps scored a goal with freshmen Kori Edmondson and Emma Muchnick leading the way with career-highs of four goals apiece. Overall, 14 different players had at least one point and seven had multiple points. Libby May had her third hat trick of the season while Hannah Leubecker had three goals and one assist and Victoria Hensh had two goals and an assist.
