PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Maryland track and field team wrapped up an impressive weekend at the Penn Relays, with 2 school records falling.
The women's 4x800 team of
Kami Joi Hickson,
Anna Coffin,
Mackenzie Morgan, and
Michaela Bracken broke a record that stood for more than a decade, running 8:42.96.

The men's 4x800 team of
Solomon Lawrence,
Eric Albright,
Maxwell Myers, and
Chase McGeehan broke their own record from a year ago, running 7:31.01.

Other Highlights:
- Jayla Bynum won the college women's shotput with a throw of 15.62m which also improves her by one spot in the Maryland Record books, where she now sits at 6th all-time.
- Kayla Thorpe was incredible yet again in the women's championship javelin, throwing a whopping 46.70m, which was good for 4th place.
- Kayla Woods impressed in the championship long jump, finishing 4th with a jump of 6.12m
- Jeff Kline broke the 19-meter mark in the shot put yet again, throwing 19.04m and placing 7th in the championship.
- Katie Altieri also improved on her place at 4th all-time in the 5000m, running an 8 second personal best of 16:38.24.
- Rhys Allen set another PB in the discus, throwing 50.30m. This marks the fourth week in a row that Allen has broken his personal best.
- Luke Tobia remained consistent in the men's hammer throw achieving a mark of 58.53m.Â
- The men's 4x100 team of Ako Hislop, Joseph Ewan, Kevin Collins, and Brandon James competed in the Championship division.Â
- The women's championship 4x200 team of Kayla Woods, Lydia Robling, Kyra Lyles, and Madison Depry finished with a time of 1:40.95 in rainy conditions. Â

"Penn Relays is an historic weekend with a lot of history for Maryland Track. We were proud to continue this tradition and be well represented from the relays to the field events over the past three days of competition."

The Terps will stay in College Park next weekend, hosting the annual Kehoe Twilight Meet, and will also serve as the Terps' Senior Day.
