COLLEGE PARK, MD. - The University of Maryland softball team is set to play their final home game of the 2023 softball season in a midweek matchup against Towson. First pitch is set for 6 pm. The game will be streamed on B1G+.

scouting the foes
- Towson has opened up the 2023 season with an 25-22 overall record and 14-10 in CAA play.
- The Tigers enter the midweek matchup after dropping a weekend series to Stony Brook.
- Maryland and Towson last met in the 2010 season in which Towson came out with a 1-0 victory.
early season success
- The Terps are off to their best start in program history an overall record of 32-16
- Maryland has 27 home runs on the season so far, already surpassing their homerun total from the 2022 season of 17. Amelia Lech has been powering the offense with 13 of those home runs.
- Freshman pitcher Keira Bucher currently leads the nation in saves with 11 on the season. She is one save away from breaking the Big Ten all-time record.

- The Terps are coming off of a 1-1 Saturday doubleheader split against Wisconsin. The Badgers took the first game 1-0, before Maryland responded with a 3-2 game two victory.
- Sunday's series finale against Wisconsin was canceled due to inclement weather.
- After the conclusion of Saturday's doubleheader, the team honored the five seniors Mackense Greico, Campbell Kline, Taylor Liguori, Trinity Schlotterbeck and Courtney Wyche.
