COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The ProTerps showed out in Denver this past weekend, highlighted by John Geppert making his professional debut with the Atlas and a third consecutive win for the 11 Terps on the Whipsnakes roster.
The weekend began with a big win for the Whipsnakes on Friday night, defeating the Chaos 12-10 before the Archers wrapped up the night with a 13-6 win over the Chrome. On Saturday, the Waterdogs topped the Atlas 14-11 while the Redwoods won an overtime thriller over the Cannons, 16-15.
The PLL will now move to Seattle, WA. Games will take place on Friday, August 18th and Saturday, August 19th.
Below is a full breakdown of all the Pro Terps' performances from the past weekend.
Atlas
2023 All-American LSM John Geppert made his professional debut on Saturday, playing alongside former five-year teammate and close friend Brett Makar. Geppert finished with a team-high three caused turnovers and two groundballs, while also taking a faceoff. Makar, moving back to close defense for this game, finished first among non-faceoff players in groundballs with four and also caused a turnover.
Cannons
Bubba Fairman finished with a career-high two assists to go along with his phenomenal defense at SSDM where he caused two turnovers and scooped two groundballs. Jonathan Donville finished with one assist and it was an absolute beauty along with two groundballs.
Chrome
Colin Heacock notched his second goal of the season plus a groundball. Maryland assistant coach/defensive coordinator Jesse Bernhardt recorded an assist and a groundball. Alex Smith, Nick Grill and Logan Wisnauskas all saw significant minutes and all finished with a groundball.
redwoods
Captain Isaiah Davis-Allen finished with two groundballs as the Redwoods won a thriller 16-15 in overtime to punch their spot in the 2023 PLL playoffs.
Waterdogs
SSDM Jake Higgins scored his second goal of the season and also notched an assist, finishing with a career-best two points. Higgins also caused a turnover. All-star Connor Kelly made his second consecutive appearance since coming off the PUP list and scooped a groundball.
Whipsnakes
The Whipsnakes earned their third win and a row and several WhipTerps were at the center of it all. Matt Rambo notched a pair of goals while Roman Puglise canned his second two-bomb of the season. Keegan Khan scored his fifth goal of the year.
Defensively, the Whips continued to employ an entirely Terp starting close defense consisting of Matt Dunn (3 CT, 3GB), Bryce Young (1 CT, 2 GB) and Tim Muller (1 CT, 1 GB) that held the Chaos offense in check for the majority of the night. Mike Ehrhardt continues to perform as one of the top LSM's in the game and scooped a groundball.
