
No. 25 Maryland Opens 50th Season With Win Over West Chester

COLLEGE PARK, MD - No. 25 Maryland Gymnastics opened its 2024 season and 50th year of competition with a 196.150 score to vault itself over West Chester, who scored 193.775 on Friday at the XFINITY Center. The Terps tied their program best score in a season opener.
The Terps moved to bars, where junior Rhea LeBlanc matched her career high with a 9.875 score, leading all Terps.
Maryland continued its impressive outing on beam with Juniors Josephine Kogler (9.925) and Victoria Gatzendorfer (9.875) each tying their career best during the event.
On floor, senior Alexa Rothenbuescher also tied a career high. Her 9.925 score led all Terps.
Maryland held the advantage in all competitions.
