COLLEGE PARK, MD.- The University of Maryland women's tennis team will open their 2024 season with a doubleheader on Saturday in College Park, first facing Georgetown and then George Washington. Update: Match vs. Georgetown has been pushed back to 10 AM

"We're excited to kick off the season Saturday against Georgetown and George Washington," said Head Coach Katie Dougherty. "The team put in the work over the break and we've had a great preseason."

"They're ready to compete and get out there this weekend against two strong teams," said Coach Dougherty. 

George Washington Assistant Coach Eva Alexandrova played for the Terrapins from 2018 to 2021. 
 
Maryland is coming off a 17-9 season in 2023, finishing at #52 in the ITA's end of season rankings. 

Lineup and scoring updates for each match will be posted on the Maryland Tennis X account.
