
Terps Drop Matchup At No. 7 Buckeyes, 3-0

COLUMBUS, OH – Maryland women's soccer was defeated by Ohio State, 3-0, on Oct. 4 at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The Terps are 3-7-4 overall and 0-5-1 in Big Ten play.
The Terps rattled off four shots in the first half but could not net any of them. They finished with five shots and four corner kicks. Ava Morales and Kate Hawley led Maryland with two shots apiece. Emily Lenhard had the Terps' lone shot on goal.
Senior goalkeeper Liz Beardsley made three saves, upping her total to 54 through 14 contests. The total ranks second in the Big Ten Conference.

- Ohio State's first two shot attempts were missed, and its second was blocked in the fourth and sixth minutes.
- The Buckeyes scored the game's first goal in the seventh minute from Peyton McNamara.
- Just 24 seconds later, Ohio State extended its lead to 2-0 with a goal by Kailyn Dudukovich. Amanda Schlueter assisted on both goals.
- Maryland's first shot attempt occurred in the 11th minute by Ava Morales. But the shot missed left.
- Maryland rattled off two more shots in the 22nd and 27th minutes. The first was by Morales, but missed right. The second was by Lauren Wrigley and missed high.
- The Buckeyes extended their lead to 3-0 with a goal by Jacinda Bonham in the 68th minute.
