COLLEGE PARK, MDÂ --Â Maryland returns to College Park for its final two home games of the regular season. The Terrapins host No. 20 Penn State on Thursday at 7 p.m. on
B1G+ and finish the week against Nebraska on Sunday at 1 p.m on
B1G+.
Series Histories
- Maryland is 4-16-0 against the Nittany Lions in 20 meetings. The last Terrapin victory came in the second round of the 2004 NCAA Tournament when Mallory Mahar headed in the game's lone goal to give Maryland the 1-0 win in University Park.
- Maryland is 0-6-1 all-time vs. the Cornhuskers. All seven meetings have occurred since Maryland joined the Big Ten in 2014. The last time the two teams met in College Park resulted in the series's lone tie (0-0, 2OT, Sept. 23, 2021).
Maryland and Penn State have met 20 times in the all-time series, with Penn State holding the advantage with a 16-4. All seven meetings between Maryland and Nebraska have come since the Terps joined the Big Ten in 2014. Nebraska holds the advantage with a 6-0-1 record.
Ringing the Bell Twice
- Kennedy Bell's two-goal performance in the Terps' 4-0 win over VCU on Sept. 8 was the first time a Terp scored twice in a game since Lisa McIntyre scored twice against James Madison on Aug. 27, 2023.
- Bell opened the scoring in the 5th minute, finishing a scramble inside the 8-meters. She added her second of the day less than two minutes later on a breakaway off of a beautifully paced through ball from Peyton Bernard.
- Bell is the first Terp to score twice in the first half of a match since teammate Ava Morales found the net twice in the opening 45 minutes at Purdue on Oct. 23, 2022.

Olimpico!
- Emily Lenhard got on the scoresheet in a big way in Maryland's 1-1 draw with James Madison on Aug. 25. Lenhard took a corner for the Terrapins in the 83rd minute, scoring from the corner spot for an Olimpico. The goal was the first of her collegiate career, and came on her lone shot of the game.
- Lenhard has played in 14 games and made nine starts for the Terps in 2024. Lenhard also leads the Terps with three assists on the season. The first-year player from Stafford, Virginia is sixth on the team in minutes played with 929, and is averaging 66 minutes played in 2024.
Dishing Out The Assists
- Maryland has 11 assists on the season, and are led by Emily Lenhard who has three. Following Lenhard is the trio of Kennedy Bell, Ellie Egeland, and Ava Morales who all have\ two assists through the team's first eight games.
- Lenhard picked up two assists in Maryland's game against George Mason, which is the first time in almost two years that a Maryland women's soccer player picked up two assists in a game. The last player to accomplish the feat was Catherine DeRosa, who had two assists back on September 4, 2022 against George Mason.
- Ava Morales picked up her first collegiate assist this season, coming Maryland's 2-0 season-opening win over Lehigh. Morales picked up her second assist of the campaign against Stony Brook back on August 18.
Emily Lenhard leads the Terps with three assists. Lenhard had two assists in Maryland's game against George Mason, which was the first time in almost two years the a Terp had two assists in a game.
Going Back-To-Back
- With her 22nd minute goal against Towson on Sept. 5, Taryn Raibon scored in consecutive games for the Terps. Raibon's two goals this season are tied for the second-most on the team with Kelsey Smith and Delaney DeMartino.
- The last time a Terp scored in consecutive games was last season, when Ava Morales scored in third-straight games. Morales' streak last season Sept. 3 against Towson, and continued with goals against George Mason (Sept. 7, 2023) and at Binghamton (Sept. 10, 2023).
Taryn Raibon scored in consecutive games for the Terps against George Mason and Towson. This marked the second season in a row that a Terps player scored in consecutive games.
