COLLEGE PARK, MD -- No. 5 Maryland field hockey begins postseason play against No. 16 Iowa in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament. The Terps clinched the 2-seed after finishing the conference season 6-2. They open the Tournament against the 7-seed Iowa Hawkeyes on November 7th at 2 p.m in College Park, Maryland. The Terps are seeking their third B1G Tournament title since joining the conference in 2014 and thirteenth tournament title in program history.

Free parking is available to fans in Lot 11b, adjacent to the Field Hockey/Lacrosse complex, on a first-come first-served basis. Parking in any other lot is subject to citation per posted signage.

- A three-time NFHCA All-American, Rose earned All-Big Ten First Team honors last season. Heading into her senior year, she was named one of the Big Ten's 2024 Players to Watch.
- This past summer, Rose captained the USA U-21 Women's National Team in the Junior Pan American Championships, helping lead the team to a silver medal.
- Two weeks ago, she celebrated a milestone 100th career point in Maryland's 4-1 victory over American. Over the last eight games, Rose has scored in six, showcasing her consistency and skill. From the moment she arrived on campus, Rose's impact was undeniable.
- She scored 10 goals with four assists as a freshman, earning her the Big Ten Freshman of the Year award in 2021.

Klebasko's cage
- Sophomore Alyssa Klebasko is continuing her dominance in the cage coming off of a stellar freshman year.
- The 2023 Big Ten All-Second Team goalie is currently ranking third in the Big Ten and seventh nationally in goals-against-average (0.96). She also ranks sixth in the conference in save percentage this season.
- Through 16 games, Klebasko has 40 saves and five shutouts.

- Freshman Ella Gaitan was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week in an announcement by the conference on Monday.
- On Friday, Gaitan recorded the game's opening goal in the first quarter to help Maryland defeat No. 17 Penn State 4-2. The goal was the freshman's eighth of the season, ranking second on the team behind Rose's 11 scores. This marks the third time this season that Gaitan has been named Big Ten Freshman of the Week.
- Gaitan recorded her first multi-goal game in Maryland's 5-0 victory over No. 10 Iowa. She scored her second and third career goals, both from Maryland penalty corners.
- Gaitan was also named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week in week 2 for her performance against Boston College.
- Against No. 17 Boston College, Ella Gaitan scored her first career goal just under two minutes into the game. Gaitan has played a key role that has helped Maryland start the season 3-0 for three consecutive years, dating back to 2022.
- Before arriving to Maryland, Gaitan was recognized as one of the national's top prospects, being named a 2022 Max Field Hockey Top 50 Player for the 2024 Class. Her standout high school career earned her several honors in 2021, including MAX Field Hockey Second Team All-New Jersey Region, First Team MAPL, and NJISA Prep "A" All-State First Team.
