Each week during the 2024-25 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.
This week's Terp of the Week is fifth-year senior
Selton Miguel of the men's basketball team.
Miguel averaged 24 points, three assists, and 2.5 rebounds in Maryland's wins over Saint Francis and Syracuse during the week. He shot 18-of-24 (.750) from the field and a blistering 10-of-15 (.667) from beyond the arc in the two games.
Against Saint Francis, Miguel scored 24 points going 10-of-13 from the floor and 4-of-6 from deep while adding four assists and three rebounds. He followed that performance in the win over Syracuse at the Barclays Center with another 24-point effort where he was 8-of-11 from the floor with a career-high six three points (6-9, .667). He also had two rebounds, two assists, and two steals to earn Gotham Classic MVP honors.
Both 24-point games were just shy of his previous career-high totals and were his best scoring totals this season.
