No. 25 Maryland Falls To No. 12 Ohio State, 196.625-195.800

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- No. 25 Maryland Gymnastics posted a 195.800 score while No. 12 Ohio State recorded a 196.625 score on Sunday at XFINITY Center. Freshman Natalie Martin led the Terps on vault and beam and added a career-high 9.900 score on floor. 
  The Terps (2-2, 1-2 B1G) opened on vault where Martin led Maryland with a 9.825 score. Five Terps overall posted scores of 9.800 or higher with Rhea LeBlanc reinforcing a 9.825 score to post 49.100 as a team. 

On the second rotation, Maryland transitioned to bars where Victoria Gatzendorfer and Alexa Rothenbuescher pitched in 9.825 scores highlighted by impressive dismounts. It was Rothenbuescher's first time competing on bars this season. 
  
The Terrapins moved to beam and were once again led by their freshman. Martin's 9.875 score was a team-high. 

Maryland finished strong on floor for its final rotation. The Terps scored 49.275 as a team and Rothenbuescher matched her career-high with a 9.925 score. Martin added a 9.900.   
  Ohio State (3-2, 2-1 B1G) saw seven of its competitors score 9.900 or better in the four competitions with four of them occurring on floor. The Buckeyes won their second consecutive conference meet. Their only losses came from currently ranked No. 5 LSU and No. 13 Michigan.
