Wyche’s Shutout Shocks No. 25 Oregon In Terps’ 4-0 Win

Maryland (6-11) scored its four runs from the bats of two players. Megan Mikami recorded the other hit for the Terps. She also stole a base and is just three stolen bases away from breaking the program record.
Oregon (11-8) outscored its opponents 27-2 in its last two games of the tournament before matching up against Maryland.

- Megan Mikami and Jaeda McFarland walked to begin the game and Diamond Williams cleared the bases with a two-RBI double down the infield line. The Terps claimed a 2-0 lead early.
- In the top half of the second, Mikami got on base with an infield single and then stole second base. She is now three stolen bases shy of breaking the program record.
- Through two innings of work, Courtney Wyche struck out three of the six batters she faced.
- Michaela Jones smashed a two-run home run in the fourth inning to take a 4-0 lead.
- Maryland nearly added another run, but the runner was punched out at home to end the inning. It still entered the bottom half of the sixth with a 4-0 lead. Wyche escaped the inning holding her shutout.
- Wyche shut the door in the final inning to secure the win.
- Megan Mikami is three stolen bases shy of breaking the program record for most stolen bases after adding one in the game. She has 64 in her career and the record is held by Vangie Galindo (2009-2012).
- Courtney Wyche struck out six batters in the game to increase her career total to 469, which is sixth all-time. She's 23 strikeouts away from passing Monica Cyphert (2001-04) for fifth all-time.
