
Two Terps Homer In 4-2 Loss To No. 25 Oregon

Maryland (6-12) trailed by four, but Diamond Williams and Mazie MacFarlane each hit solo home runs to cut the lead in half. It was Williams' fifth of the season and MacFarlane's first as a Terp. However, the Terps couldn't muster any more runs in the contest.

Bri Godfrey made her eighth appearance in the circle and pitched three innings. She struck out two batters and allowed four hits. Courtney Wyche entered the game and pitched the final three innings and struck out four batters.

The game was the second matchup between the two schools in the tournament. The Terps upset the Ducks yesterday, 4-0, as Wyche pitched a shutout and Maryland claimed its 37th win over a ranked opponent.
Breaking Down The Action
- Megan Mikami reached base on a hit-by-pitch and stole a base in the top of the first inning. In the bottom half, Oregon scored a run on a sacrifice bunt to take a 1-0 lead.
- In the third inning, Oregon drove home two runs on a double to right center. The Ducks added another unearned run to take a 4-0 lead.
- Diamond Williams and Mazie MacFarlane homered in the fourth inning to cut the lead in half. Both were solo shots and Maryland trailed 4-2.
