
Cardiac Terps Strike Again, Terps Rally Late For 11-9 Win At Michigan

Maryland (20-6, 3-1 B1G) cracked a season-high 16 hits and six Terps finished with multiple hits. The Terps scored in each of the first three innings but Michigan (9-17, 2-2 B1G) later took the lead for the first time in the seventh inning. The Terps responded by facilitating a five-run top of the ninth inning. Logan Berrier earned his sixth win of the season while pitching the remaining 2.1 innings.

- Maryland placed runners on first and second base and Sam Hojnar drove in the runner on second with an RBI single to take a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. The Terps had four hits in the inning.
- The Terps allowed three base runners in the bottom of the inning, but Charlie Glennon caught a runner stealing third base and two Wolverines flew out to end the inning.
- Eddie Hacopian hit a two-RBI single in the second inning with bases loaded and two outs. Hojnar followed with an RBI double and the Terps enjoyed a 4-0 advantage. Five consecutive batters reached base safely in the inning.
- Elijah Lambros extended the lead to 5-0 with an RBI single in the third inning.
- Michigan got into the scoring column in the fourth inning with an RBI single up the middle. A ground-rule double scored another run for the Wolverines. Pinch hitter Will Rogers then rocked a three-run home run left fields to tie the game at 5-5.
- Chris Hacopian homered in the sixth inning to take the go-ahead lead 6-5.
- Michigan tied the game with a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning and added an RBI double to take a 7-6 lead.
- The Terps had two runners in scoring position in the eighth but couldn't capitalize.
- The Wolverines added an insurance run in the eighth on a groundout to lead 8-6.
- The Terps rattled off five runs in the ninth to take a 11-8 lead. Brayden Martin hit an RBI single, E. hacopian hit a two-RBI single and Kevin Keister hit an RBI single.
- Michigan scored one final run in the bottom of the inning but Logan Berrier battled to record the final three outs.
"[The win] is more of a testament just of their mentality and the guys I think believe that no matter what the situation is, they can come back and win," head coach Matt Swope said.

"It's just our culture and how we're going about business right now," Eddie Hacopian said. "Whenever we get down late you we have faith and we just we string things together and I don't know what it is, but it must be something in the water."
