PHILADELPHIA – Maryland gymnastics placed first with a score of 197.050 at the Temple Quad Meet on Thursday. The Terps competed against Temple - the host of the meet, NC State and Penn. The Terps placed first in three straight quad meets. 

The Terps' 197.050 was the second consecutive meet scoring 197.000 or higher and marks just the eighth time in school history the team has scored 197.000 or better. 

Freshman Natalie Martin tied Maryland's highest beam score in program history with a 9.950 score. Martin joins Gillian Cote as the only freshmen in school history to score a 9.950 on beam. Layla Hammer matched her career-high of 9.925 to contribute to the Terps' impressive showing in their second rotation.

In Maryland's first rotation on uneven bars, it scored 49.350 as a team. It was Maryland's second-highest score of the season. Alexa Rothenbuescher matched her career-high with a 9.925 score.

Vault netted more career numbers for the Terps. Rothenbuecher matched her career-best yet again with her 9.850 score.

The Terps were steady on floor in their third rotation. Rothenbuecher's 9.900 score led all competitors in the event.
