
Terps Place First At Temple Quad Meet With 197.050 Score

PHILADELPHIA – Maryland gymnastics placed first with a score of 197.050 at the Temple Quad Meet on Thursday. The Terps competed against Temple - the host of the meet, NC State and Penn. The Terps placed first in three straight quad meets.
The Terps' 197.050 was the second consecutive meet scoring 197.000 or higher and marks just the eighth time in school history the team has scored 197.000 or better.
Freshman Natalie Martin tied Maryland's highest beam score in program history with a 9.950 score. Martin joins Gillian Cote as the only freshmen in school history to score a 9.950 on beam. Layla Hammer matched her career-high of 9.925 to contribute to the Terps' impressive showing in their second rotation.
