Sarunas Jasikevicius

Sarunas Jasikevicius is considered one of the best Lithuanian and European point guards ever. He is one of only two Terps who competed in four Olympic Games and is the only national team player to have played for Lithuania in four Olympic Games in a row.
Jasikevicius led Lithuania to the bronze medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics, averaging 14 points and 5.1 assists. He also scored a tournament-high 27 points in Lithuania's semifinal loss to the United States. Over his entire career as a senior member of the Lithuanian national basketball team, he averaged 10 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game.
The 6-foot-4, 197-pound guard played at Maryland from 1994-98 under Hall of Famer Gary Williams, averaging 7.7 points in 120 career games. He finished his career with 929 points, 273 assists, 235 rebounds, and 95 steals. He also ranks 17th all-time in program history with 136 career 3-pointers made and is 12th with a .375 3-point shooting percentage. Jasikevicius was a part of two NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen teams in 1995 and 1998. The Terps also won the ACC regular season title in 1995.
The guard played overseas for various franchises from 1998-2005 and 2007-14. From 2005-07, he had a brief stint in the NBA for the Indiana Pacers and Golden State Warriors. Jasikevicius is one of the most accomplished EuroLeague players of all time.
Some of his many career highlights and awards include EuroBasket MVP (2003), EuroBasket Dream Team (2010-20), EuroLeague Legend (2015), 50 Greatest EuroLeague Contributors (2008), and EuroLeague All-Decade Team (2000–10). Jasikevicius is a four-time EuroLeague champion (2003-05 and 2009.) In 2005, he was even named EuroLeague Final Four MVP before earning Finals Top Scorer honors.
After retiring, Jasikevicius began coaching overseas. He coached for Zalgiris (2016-20) and FC Barcelona (2020-23) and has coached Fenerbahce since 2023. Just as a player, Jasikevicius has numerous accomplishments as a coach. Some include two-time Liga ACB champion (2021 and 2023), two-time Spanish Cup winner (2021 and 2022), five-time LKL champion (2016-20), three-time LKL Coach of the Year (2017-2019), and most recently, Turkish League champion and Turkish Cup winner (2024).
