COLLEGE PARK, MD –
Head coach John Tillman has announced the Maryland men's lacrosse program's 2025 schedule. The Terps will play another highly-competitive slate, with seven of 12 regular season games coming against teams that made the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
This will mark the 100th season of Maryland men's lacrosse.
Eleven of Maryland's 12 opponents are teams the Terps faced last year. Additionally, the Terps will face two teams that made the 2024 Final Four in Notre Dame and Virginia.
The Terrapins open the season at home against Richmond on Feb. 1, marking the third consecutive years the Terps and Spiders will meet in the season opener. Maryland will hit the road for the first time the following Saturday, traveling to Baltimore to face Loyola on Feb. 8.
The Terps will host Syracuse on Feb. 15 and then go back on the road on Feb. 22 to play at Princeton.
Next up, the Terps will play the first game in Atlanta, GA in program history as part of the Atlanta Lacrosse Invitational. It will be a National Championship rematch and a battle between the National Champions of the last three years as the Terps will meet Notre Dame at Bobby Dodd Stadium.
The Terps will then return back to College Park to host Delaware, the one new opponent on the schedule, on March 8 before wrapping up non-conference play with a battle against 2024 Final Four opponent Virginia in Charlottesville on March 15.
Maryland opens its Big Ten schedule with a pair of home games at SECU Stadium against Michigan on March 22 and at Penn State on March 29.
Next, the Terps will play a pair of road conference games at Rutgers on April 5 and at Ohio State on April 12 before closing the regular season against rival Johns Hopkins on Friday, April 19 at SECU Stadium.
The schedule is subject to change. Complete game times and television information will be announced at a later date.
