New Leadership

Maryland's six wins this season mark its best total in a year since going 9-8-3 in 2019.
The Terrapins are 6-9 under head coach Michael Marchiano in 2025, winning three consecutive matches for the first time since Sept. 3-10 2023. All three of those wins also came in shutout fashion.
Michael Marchiano was officially named head coach of the Maryland women's soccer program in December 2024 after serving as interim head coach during the latter part of the 2024 season. A Maryland alumnus and two-time national champion as a midfielder for the Terps in 2005 and 2008.
Marchiano also spent time working with the Maryland men's soccer program as an assistant coach in November 2023, contributing to a 34-9-3 record and back-to-back NCAA Quarterfinal runs. His connections to Maryland athletics run deep, reflecting his long-standing history with the Terrapins.
