COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The Cross Country Terps are ready to close out the regular season at the Princeton Fall Classic, hosted by Princeton University on Friday. The 6K race will begin at 10:30 AM on the Meadows Campus Course.
Last Time at Princeton fall classic
- Rose Coats turned out a top-15 finish, placing 12th in a field of 236 runners who completed the course.
- Coats' time of 19:59.9 cut nearly 23 seconds off her then collegiate personal best, and was the first time a Terp has run a sub-20 minute 6K.
- The other top five finishers for the Terps were rounded out by Katie Turk (73rd, 20:57.1), Eva Rogers (89th, 21:05.4), Katie Altieri (133rd, 21:36.3), and Rubie Goffena (179th, 22:23.3).
Maryland in Mid-Atlantic Rankings
- Maryland is currently ranked 8th in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Polls.
- Penn State and Georgetown sit among the top of the Regional rankings at 1st and 3rd, respectively. Both schools also hold national rankings with Penn State ranked 15th and Georgetown ranked 20th.

- This is the last regular season race for the Terps before they compete in the Big Ten Championships in East Lansing, Michigan on October 31st.
- Following B1G Championships is the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship on November 14th before NCAA Championships take place on November 22nd.
- Heading into the start of the 2025 cross country season, the Big Ten announced its Runners To Watch for the year with Rose Coats chosen as one of the top performers in the league.
- Coats had a stand out performance in the 2024 cross country season, being only the sixth Terp in program history to qualify for NCAA Championships. She finished the 6K race at 20:18.50 in 61st, the third best performance in program history.
- Coats currently holds the record for the 6K as she broke it for a third time this season at the Paul Shourt Run with a sub-20 time of 19 minutes, 45.4 seconds.
