PRINCETON, NJ – In their final regular season race of the season, the Terps competed in the Princeton Fall Classic hosted by Princeton University. The Terps were led by Big Ten Runner to Watch, Rose Coats, as she placed in the top-5, with other Terps setting new personal records.

Coats crossed the line first for the Terps in fourth place out of 270 runners. She completed the 6k course with a time of 19:58.4, her fourth sub-20 minute performance. Her first sub-20 occurred at the Fall Classic in 2024 where she crossed the line at 19:59.9, breaking the program record which she has since improved on multiple times. 

Eva Rogers placed 79th (21:25.0) followed by Lucy Scothern in 120th with a new personal best of 21.46.9, shaving nearly 15 seconds off her previous best. The top five was rounded out by Maren Iski, who also set a new personal record (151st, 22:07.6) and Ellie Keefer (158th, 22:10.7).

Boise State took the top spot in team finishes with a score of 55. Host school Princeton followed close behind in second with a score of 57, followed by Penn with a score of 131. The top-5 team scores were closed out by Yale with a score of 139 and UConn with a score of 141. Maryland finished 15th of 25 teams with a score of 452, improving from their 16th place finish last year.

Up Next: Next for the Terps is the postseason, starting with Big Ten Championships set to take place on Friday, October 31st in East Lansing, MI. The start time of the event has yet to be determined.
