Maryland Alums Dick Jerardi, Gary Williams Set To Be Inducted To Philly Sports Hall of Fame

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Maryland alums Dick Jerardi and Gary Williams will be inducted into the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame on Thursday, November 6 at the Event Center at Live! Casino and Hotel, 900 Packer Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19148.  The event gets underway at 5:30 p.m. Details can be found here

Dick Jerardi (Sportswriter) - Local  - Legacy of Excellence
● Acclaimed sportswriter, commentator and TV & Radio host, primarily focusing on horse racing and college basketball
● Graduated from the University of Maryland with degree in journalism
● Hired by Daily News in 1985 as its horse racing writer
● Covered every Triple Crown race since 1987 and every NCAA Tournament since 1988
● Charter member of the Beyer Speed Figure Team (mid-1980s)
