No. 4 Virginia Scores Twice In Fourth Quarter In 2-0 Win Over No. 11 Maryland

The Terps hung with one of the top teams in the country on Tuesday night, but the Cavaliers used a pair of late goals to snag their 13th win of the season.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — The No. 11 Terps (9-7, 5-3 Big Ten) took to the road on Tuesday night to renew an old ACC rivalry with No. 4 Virginia. The match was incredibly even until the closing minutes when the Cavaliers (13-1, 6-1 ACC) found a pair of goals. Maryland had a strand of penalty corner opportunites in the closing minutes, but the Cavaliers held on for the 2-0 win.

UVA's Riley Savage and Caroline Nemec scored just over a minute apart in the final quarter to supply the match's only scoring. The Cavaliers kept the Terps at bay with six saves in crucial moments.

Feliz Kuhne led the Terps in shots as she tallied a career-high four shots. Alyssa Klebasko was stellar in net for Maryland, making seven saves to add to her impressive 2025 season.
