COLLEGE PARK, MD -- This Friday, the Terps travel back to Bethlehem, PA to continue the postseason. The NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals 6K race will take place at noon on Friday on the Goodman Campus XC Course.

Last Time at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals

Rose Coats broke her previous program record as she placed 8th in a field of 214
Four Terps finished in the top 75 runners; Rose Coats (8, 19:53.8), Katie Turk (49, 21:10.7), Eva Rogers (50, 21:10.8), and Katie Altieri (72, 21:35.0).
As a team, Maryland finished 9th out of 30 schools.

Maryland in Mid-Atlantic Rankings

Maryland is currently ranked 12th in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Polls.
West Virginia is currently ranked 1st in the regional rankings. Penn State and Georgetown took 2nd and 3rd, respectively, while Villanova and Princeton round out the top-5.

At the conclusion of the NCAA Regionals, the Maryland cross country season will also conclude as they prepare for the indoor track & field season. Two individuals will be selected as at-large participants in the NCAA Championships by the NCAA committee; those runners will be announced on Saturday evening.

Rose Coats: Runner to Watch

Heading into the start of the 2025 cross country season, the Big Ten announced its Runners To Watch for the year with Rose Coats chosen as one of the top performers in the league.
Coats had a stand out performance in the 2024 cross country season, being only the sixth Terp in program history to qualify for NCAA Championships. She finished the 6K race at 20:18.50 in 61st, the third best performance in program history.
Coats currently holds the record for the 6K as she broke it for a third time this season at the Paul Shourt Run with a sub-20 time of 19 minutes, 45.4 seconds.
