Rose Coats Heads To Second NCAA Cross Country Championship Saturday

COLLEGE PARK, MD – After earning All-Big Ten First Team honors at the Big Ten Championships and a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet, Maryland junior Rose Coats will compete in the 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championships this Saturday morning. The national championship meet will be hosted by the University of Missouri on Saturday, November 22 in Columbia. The race will be televised on ESPNU starting at 10:20 AM ET.

Coats became the first ever All-Big Ten First Team performer after her top-10 performance at the Big Ten Championships two weeks ago, making her the ninth all-time all-conference performer in program history. Along with her all-conference honors, Coats became the first Terp in program history to qualify for back-to-back NCAA Cross Country Championships. This will also mark the second time a Terp has appeared in back-to-back cross country national championships.

This will be the last event for Cross Country this season before the indoor track season begins on December 7 at the Navy Invitational.
