Brenda's Breakdown:
  • "I really love to be able to see the relentless pressure and intensity that I thought we played with from the tip. We really wanted to go into this game consistently defending and rebounding, and I thought in those two areas we did really, really well."
  • "We had a goal of holding them under 50 points, which we were able to do."
  • "I love that everybody that got in was able to score and contribute."
  • I thought Kyndal did a phenomenal job coming in and having her career-best, and that's what we know she's capable of doing. She did a great job overseeing the team. I'm just really, really proud of her and our team and watching that growth as we continue to keep getting better."
  • "I thought tonight started with our defense. We held them scoreless for quite a while in that first quarter, so that was really encouraging."
  • "It's a coach's dream to see every player score in your box score."
Walker's First Start:
  • "We're unselfish. I think you can see with our team that everybody can score and what everyone's capable of. It's just making our defense our offense, getting stops and getting out running. You see our transition game's improving by the day, then getting KK and other players back has been helpful."
  • "We're getting that unity together, coming together as a team and making things happen."
  • "Tonight was just a matter of my coaches pushing me to be the best, and my team trusting me. I just went out there and played free. Shout out to my teammates."
Up Next:
  • Maryland heads to Puerto Rico for the Discover Puerto Rico Classic. The Terps will first face No. 20 Kentucky on Nov. 26. The game will start at 5:30 PM and air on FLO Hoops.
