SEATTLE – Maryland Gymnastics scored 195.725 as a team, defeating Washington, who scored 194.650 at Alaska Airlines Arena on Friday. Maryland won every competition on the night and is now 6-5 this season. Washington sits at 2-5.
The Terps posted a standout performance in their second rotation on vault. Three of Maryland's competitors either matched or set new career highs. Natalie Martin flipped her way to a 9.925, which matched her career-best last year at the Yale Quad on March 3, 2024.
Maryland finished strong on floor and the beam. Alexa Rothenbuescher scored a team-high 9.875 on floor. Overall, Maryland scored 48.975. Madeline Komoroski scored a 9.850 on beam as the Terps netted a 48.775.
The Terps began the meet on the uneven bars. Rhea LeBlanc scored a team-high 9.850 to contribute to a team score of 48.850.
