
Edmondson & Gilmore Earn Big Ten Weekly Awards

This marks the fourth Big Ten Midfielder of the Week award in Edmondson's career. She played a key role in Maryland's 2-0 start to conference play, tallying eight points, six draw controls, two caused turnovers, and two ground balls. In the 14-12 win over No. 11 Michigan, she recorded two goals, an assist, and three draw controls. She followed up with a dominant performance at Penn State, contributing three goals, two assists, two caused turnovers, and three draw controls in a 19-11 victory.
Gilmore made an immediate impact in her first two Big Ten games, totaling two points and 11 draw controls. She had a standout performance at Penn State, notching a goal and eight draw controls in Maryland's 19-11 win. She became the first Maryland freshman to earn the honor since Kori Edmondson on March 21, 2023.
No. 4 Maryland is back in action on Saturday, March 22 when it travels to Evanston, IL for a top-five matchup against No. 3 Northwestern at 2:00 pm on Big Ten Network.
