
Terps Place First At Yale Tri Meet With 196.150 Score

NEW HAVEN, CT – Maryland gymnastics placed first at the Yale Tri Meet with a 196.150 score at Payne Whitney Gymnasium on Sunday. The Terps are now 11-7 in competition this season. They won three of the four competitions, including the uneven bars, beam and vault, competing against Yale and Long Island.
On the uneven bars, three gymnasts scored a 9.800 or higher, resulting in a team score of 49.100. Alexa Rothenbuescher had a season-high score of 9.900 for the Terps as she held the highest score among all competitors in the event. Overall, Maryland placed first in the event.
Rayna Engelmayer recorded a new career high of 9,825 on the beam. Standout Madeline Komoroski scored 9.875, one of four gymnasts who scored over a 9.800. The Terps placed first in the event with a team score of 49.075. Komoroski led all competitors on the beam.
Maryland scored a 48.950 on the floor, placing second in the event. Yale placed first in the event, scoring a 49.100 as a team. Maryland gymnasts Natalie Martin, Rhea LeBlanc and Komoroski all had high scores of 9.850.
The Terps finished on the vault, with Martin scoring a high of 9.850. The team placed first on the vault with a team score of 49.025. Martin was the vault champion, outscoring all other competitors.
