One Event Win and An All-Time Performance Highlight Day One at Bison Classic

LEWISBURG, PA – The Track Terps started competition this weekend at the Bison Classic with an event win, one all-time performance, and a handful of new personal records.

In the women's 5000m, Hannah Mack won the event and set a new personal record of 17 minutes, 41.35 seconds. She was followed by her teammates Gauri Nair (18:11.83) and AnnaMarie Tretola (18:14.61) who finished thirteenth and fifteenth, respectively. Tretola also set a new PR in the event by over 13 seconds.

Jack Barchet ran a 3:48.32 in the men's 1500m invite, sneaking into the all-time list at 10th. Barchet placed sixth in the event. Anthony Petrillo also set a new PR in the men's 1500m invite at 3 minutes, 54.70 seconds.

In the women's discus, Morgan Graham placed second with a throw of 49.91 meters, and Madison Depry finished ninth in the women's high jump invite with marks of 1.63m.

In the women's 1500m invite, Katie Turk crossed the line at 4 minutes, 27.84 seconds, placing eighth in the event. In the same event, Lucy Scothern set a new PR of 4:34.85.
