COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland baseball cruised past No. 15 Oregon, 12-2, with a standout hitting and pitching performance in game one of its doubleheader at
Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium on Sunday. The Terps improved to 16-20 overall and 4-10 in Big Ten play. This was
Matt Swope's second win over a ranked team as head coach.
The Terps scored six of their runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, stretching their lead to 10-2, which Oregon (23-10, 11-6 Big Ten) could not climb back from. The scoring run was headlined by a bases-clearing three-run RBI double by
Jacob Orr. Calarco and Hill also recorded RBI knocks, and
Chris Hacopian was credited with an RBI with a bases-loaded walk.

Martin was the other Terp to post multiple hits. He went 3-for-3 and led the Terps with three runs scored. His two-RBI single in the bottom of the seventh secured the run-rule victory.

Logan Hastings entered out of the bullpen, earning his third victory of the season. He pitched 3.2 innings, allowing only two hits and no runs.
