Five Terps Homer In Win Over Mount St. Mary’s, 10-3

EMMITSBURG, MD – Hollis Porter, Elijah Lambros, Brayden Martin, Jacob Orr and Eddie Hacopian homered in Maryland baseball's 10-3 win over Mount St. Mary's at E.T. Straw Family Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. Maryland improved to 17-21 overall heading into its weekend series at Indiana.  

Porter hit a three-run home in the first inning, giving the Terps a lead it never gave up. It was his 14th home run of the season, breaking a tie entering the game with Alex Calarco for the most on the team. 
  Lambros went 2-for-4 at the plate, hitting a solo shot in the second. It was his third of the season and 23rd of his career. Martin hit the third homer of the day in the fourth inning. It was also a solo shot, giving him the second home run of his career and his first of the season. 

Orr also hit a solo shot in the eighth inning. It was the ninth of his career and third of the season, matching his most for a single season. Orr went 3-for-5, also recording a double. He leads the team with 15 doubles. 

Hacopian (2-for-5) hit the final home run for the Terps, a three-run blast. It was the 22nd of his career and fifth of the season. Maryland has hit 52 home runs through 37 games. This was also the second time this season hitting five home runs in a game.  

Brayden Ryan drew his fourth start this season on the mound. He pitched 3.2 innings before allowing his first hit. He went a season-high seven innings overall, striking out four batters and allowing just one run on five hits. The Merrimack transfer earned his second win of the season. 

Jack Wren pitched the final two innings. He allowed two runs on two hits and struck out four batters. 
Breaking Down The Action
  • Hollis Porter hit a no-doubter three-run blast, putting Maryland ahead 3-0 in the first. Brayden Martin drew a walk, and Chris Hacopian was hit by a pitch to set up the blast. 
  • Brayden Ryan threw a 1-2-3 inning in the bottom of the first.
  • Elijah Lambros hit a solo homer in the second, giving the Terps a 4-0 lead.
  • Aden Hill hit an RBI sac fly to drive in a run in the third inning.
  • Martin hit a solo home run in the fourth, extending Maryland's lead to 6-0.
  • The Mountaineers hit a solo home run in the fifth but trailed 6-1. The Terps prevented another run from scoring by catching a player in a run down at the plate. 
  • Jacob Hauk caught a runner attempting to steal second base to end a scoreless sixth inning for the Mount.  
  • The Terps scored four runs in the eighth. Eddie Hacopian hit a three-run home run, and Jacob Orr hit a solo shot. They led 10-1. 
  • Mount St. Mary's got one run back on a solo blast in the bottom of the eighth to trail 10-2. 
  • The Mount added one final run in the ninth, but lost 10-3.

  • Eddie Hacopian is also one of 14 players in program history with 200 hits. With 209 in his career, he's nearing 10th place, Charlie White (210 from 2011-14).
  • Hacopian scored one run, giving him 147 for his career. He broke a tie with Kevin Keister (146 from 2021-24) to claim sole possession of 10th place in program history. Will Frazier (148 from 2002-05) is ninth. 
  • Hacopian recorded three RBIs, giving him 128 for his career. He broke a tie with Craig Monroe (1997-2000) and passed Ken Noe (127 from 1990-92) to put him 12th all-time in career RBIs.
