COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Maryland hosts No. 8 Johns Hopkins in the regular season finale this Saturday in College Park. The Terps and Blue Jays will face off at 12 p.m. at the Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex.

Where We've Been
  • The Terps enter their regular season finale with an 11-4 overall record and a 6-1 mark in Big Ten play. This season, Maryland has secured ranked wins over No. 18 USC, No. 13 James Madison, and No. 11 Michigan. Junior Kori Edmondson leads the offense with 49 points and 40 goals, while graduate student Chrissy Thomas leads the team in assists with 31. Defensively, the Terps are anchored by captains Kennedy Major and Neve O'Ferrall.
  • Maryland rallied past Rutgers, overcoming an early three-goal deficit in its 8-7 win at SHI Stadium on Wednesday. The Terps improved to 11-4 overall and 6-1 in Big Ten play, winning four of their last five games.
  • Goalie JJ Suriano had one of the best performances of her young career. The sophomore made 11 stops between the pipes, matching her career-high in Big Ten play. It was the fourth time this season she recorded 10 or more stops.
  • Suriano was helped by a defense that caused six turnovers. Sophie Halus, Annabella Schafer, Edmondson (three) and Lipkin all caused turnovers. The Terps' defense made several crucial stops. The biggest was one at the buzzer that prevented the Scarlet Knights from getting a shot off that could've potentially tied the game and sent it to overtime.
