CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – The Terps wrapped up the Virginia Challenge today, posting ten top ten finishes and four more all-time performances.
The Terps had a great showing in the women's 400m today as three finished in the top ten. Crossing in third, Maya Valmon ran a time of 53.76 which moved her from eighth to fifth all-time in the record books. Sam Payne also placed herself in the record books as she finished in sixth place at 54.26 seconds, putting her at seventh all-time. Lydia Robling placed ninth in the event with a time of 54.90 seconds.
In the women's triple jump,
Tolu Akinduro placed sixth with marks of 12.83m, moving her up to fourth all-time in program history.
Katie Turk won her heat in the women's 800m, placing her at fourth overall. She ran a 2:09.88, placing her at tenth all-time in program history.
In the men's 800m, Jack Barchet finished in third with a time of 1:50.64. Morgan Graham placed fifth in the women's discus with marks of 52.61m. The women's 4x400 relay team finished in third with a time of 3:39.90. The men's 4x400 also placed top five as they came in fourth place with a time of 3:11.07.
The Terps are back next Thursday as they head up Philadelphia for the Penn Relays.
