BALTIMORE, MD -- The Maryland men's golf team tied for sixth out of 18 teams competing at the Big Ten Men's Golf Championships Sunday at the Five Farms Gofl Course at Baltimore Country Club. Sophomores
Yang Kuang and
Emil Riegger both finished in the top five and were named to the All-Championships Team.
Kuang tied for third and earned his second top five finish of the season and third top 10 finish. He shot a 207 (67-70-70), which was -3. Riegger tied for fifth with a score of 209 (68-70-71), which was -1. Riegger earned his fourth top 10 finish of the season.
Maryland's sixth place finish was its best since 2022 when it finished third. The Terrapins earned a score of 858 (280-282-296), which was +18. The Terrapins beat No. 27 Northwestern, No. 37 Purdue and No. 48 USC.
Freshman
Will Gregware shot a 222 (72-72-78). Senior
Florian Huerlimann earned a score of 224 (73-74-77) and freshman
Benjamin Siriboury shot a 225 (76-70-79).
