Guillermo Del Pino has officially signed with the Maryland men's basketball program as announced by head coach
Buzz Williams. Del Pino is the ninth player officially signed to the Terps' roster joining

We're confident he'll make an immediate impact and will be a key piece of what we're building here at Maryland."
Del Pino joins the Terps after playing in his home country for Unicaja Malaga and Cordoba Club de Balconcesto of the Spanish Segunda League.
The 6-foot-5, 183 pound guard was named the MVP of the 2023 FIBA Under-16 European Championship where he averaged 14.6 points in leading Spain to the Gold medal. In that tournament, he scored 26 points in the quarterfinals against Slovenia and 22 points in the final against Italy. Overall, he hit 45.5 percent from three-point range. He was the third consecutive Spanish player to be named the MVP.
Most recently he earned all-star honors in February 2024 at the NBA's Basketball Without Borders camp.
In 2024-25, the native of Cordoba, Spain, played for the Cordoba Club de Balconcesto where he averaged 10.3 points in 17 games. He also averaged 11 points through seven games at the FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup in Turkey where he also earned all-star honors.
Del Pino was ranked as a top 10 international prospect in July 2024 by NBADraft.net.
Maryland is coming off a 27-9 campaign in 2024-25 which saw the Terps reach the NCAA Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 2016. In Big Ten play, Maryland finished second in the final standings with a 14-6 league record and reached the Big Ten Tournament semifinals for the first time since 2016.
On April 2, Maryland introduced Williams who will enter his first year at the helm this season. Williams has led his programs to 11 NCAA Tournament appearances and 13 20-win seasons in 18 years as a head coach.
