COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland women's lacrosse earns its 35th straight bid to the NCAA Tournament, as announced on Sunday night. Maryland earned the sixth seed and will host the first and second rounds at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex in College Park.
The Terps (14-5) will host Fairfield (11-7), the MAAC Champion, on Friday, May 9 at 12 p.m. in the first ever meeting between the two teams. The other side of the region will see Penn (10-6) and Army (13-3) match-up at 3 p.m., on Friday. The winners of each contest will face each other in the second round on Sunday, May 11. All of the games will air on ESPN Plus.Â
The Terps' 35 consecutive appearances (1990-2025, minus 2020 due to COVID-19) is the longest streak in the country. Overall, the Terps have won 14 NCAA Championships, the most of any program in college women's lacrosse history. Maryland has won four of the last 10 NCAA Championships (2014, 2015, 2017, 2019) and has made the NCAA Semifinals 12 times under head coachÂ

First and second round games begin on Friday and Sunday, May 9 and 11, respectively. The quarterfinals follow on Thursday, May 15. Championship Weekend will take place in Foxborough, Massachusetts at Gillette Stadium. The Final Four games take place on May 23, followed by the championship on May 25.
