COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland men's basketball head coach Buzz Williams will throw out the ceremonial first pitch next Friday, July 25, at the Baltimore Orioles game against the Colorado Rockies at Camden Yards.
 
It will also be Floppy Hat night for the first 20,000 fans at the park. Tickets can be purchased here and gates open at 5:30 PM.
 
On April 2, Maryland introduced Williams who will enter his first year at the helm this season. Williams has led his programs to 11 NCAA Tournament appearances and 13 20-win seasons in 18 years as a head coach.
 
The 2025-26 season will officially begin on Monday, Nov. 3 at CFG Bank Arena as the Terps take on Coppin State as part of the Naismith Hall of Fame Series Baltimore. The XFINITY Center home opener will then be held on Friday, Nov. 7 against Georgetown. The full non-conference schedule will be announced in the near future.
 
Maryland is coming off a 27-9 campaign in 2024-25 which saw the Terps reach the NCAA Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 2016.
