Cross Country Announces 2025 Schedule

COLLEGE PARK, MD - The 2025 Maryland women's cross country schedule has been officially announced with the Terps set to start competition on August 29 at the Trials of Miles Opening Night XC25 event.

Overall, the squad will take part in four regular season races before heading to the Big Ten Championships (Oct. 31) and then NCAA events.

Following the opening weekend, Maryland will take part in the Penn State Spiked Shoe Invitational (Sept. 12) and then the prestigious 51st annual Paul Short Invitational (Oct. 3) hosted by Lehigh.

The final tune-up before the championship season will be the Princeton Fall Classic on Oct. 17.

The Terps will be led by junior Rose Coats who is coming off an NCAA Championship appearance last season after taking eighth in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional. Coats twice broke the Maryland 6K course record last year and turned in the third-best individual finish at an NCAA Championship meet in program history. Overall, Maryland returns nine members from last year's squad including Eva Rogers who had a strong freshman campaign in 2024.
