Last Year's Season Opener
- Last season, Maryland won the Salisbury Classic, hosted by Salisbury University, to open the 2024 season with a 1-2-3 sweep with four runners earning top-10 finishes. Rose Coats, Eva Rogers, and Katie Turk placed first, second, and third respectively to lead the Terps
Looking Ahead
- Maryland will be headlined this season by veterans Rose Coats and Eva Rogers. The Terps return 8 members from last season's squad while adding an additional eight newcomers.
- Overall, the team will compete in four races before Big Ten Championships (Oct. 31) followed by the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship Meet (Nov. 14).
- Last season, the Terps finished 15th at the Big Ten Championships and 9th at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional with Coats finishing 8th, breaking the 6K record with a time of 19:53.80

Rose on the run
- Heading into the start of the 2025 cross country season, the Big Ten announced its Runners To Watch for the year with Rose Coats chosen as one of the top performers in the league.
- Coats had a stand out performance in the 2024 cross country season, being only the sixth Terp in program history to qualify for NCAA Championships. She finished the 6K race at 20:18.50 in 61st, the third best performance in program history.
- Coats currently holds the record for the 6K as she broke it for a second time last season at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals with a sub-20 time of 19 minutes, 53.8 seconds.
