Hughes' Talking Points:
  • "Another resilient win for our Terps. I thought there were opportunities probably in games two and three to maybe take a commanding lead, but the group didn't panic. We stood tall and played a good setup battle in game four and started off really well in game five."
  • "I thought that was a match we might've put ourselves in the loss column in week one, but this group is learning ways to win and I'm really proud that they stayed together. It was a good team win."
  • "Malual's goal is to continue to get cleaner and cleaner. She's an offensive weapon that at times can be a little bit high-air. I thought she did a really good job. Although she started high-air in games one and two, she found a way to settle in a little bit. She's a big reason we got the win."

Up Next:
  • Maryland stays down south to take on Wake Forest on Sept. 14. The match will start at 1 PM and air on ACCN.
