COLLEGE PARK, MD - Maryland women's lacrosse single-game tickets are now on sale!
The Terps will host eight games this season in College Park. Maryland will open the season at SECU Stadium, with details on the team's return to the 'Plex to be announced at a later date.
Maryland's first official home game of the season is set for Feb. 14 against Virginia. The two teams last met during the 2025 One Love game at Notre Dame Preparatory School. Founded in 2010, the One Love game honors the memory of former Virginia women's lacrosse student-athlete Yeardley Love.
The Terps return to College Park on Feb. 28 to host Princeton. Maryland and the Tigers last met in 2024, when the Terps earned a 16–12 road victory.
Maryland will then remain home for two weeks, hosting Penn on March 19 on Big Ten Network, followed by USC on March 22. The matchup against Penn will serve as a rematch of last season's NCAA Tournament second-round double-overtime thriller, in which Penn advanced with an 11–10 victory.
The Terps will close out their home schedule with three consecutive games, hosting Penn State on March 29, Rutgers on April 4, and Northwestern on April 9. Maryland and Northwestern met in an instant classic during last year's Big Ten Championship in College Park, where goalkeeper JJ Suriano recorded a career-high 18 saves. That performance tied the Big Ten Tournament record—previously set by Penn State's Taylor Suplee in 2019—and marked the most saves by a Maryland goalkeeper since Megan Taylor recorded 20 against Florida on March 29, 2017.
Maryland will be led by a strong group of All-American returners, including Kori Edmondson, Neve O'Ferrall, Kayla Gilmore, JJ Suriano, and Kennedy Major. Edmondson is coming off a standout junior season in which she was named the 2025 Big Ten Midfielder of the Year and a Tewaaraton Award Top-25 finalist.
The Terps also welcome three transfers to College Park. Maryland native Keeley Block joins the program after four seasons at Penn. Block earned 2025 Second Team All-Ivy and Second Team IWLCA All-Region honors after starting 19 games and recording 42 goals last season.
Graduate transfer Kristen Shanahan arrives from Notre Dame, where she served as a team captain in 2025. Shanahan started 14 games and finished second on the team with 27 goals and 41 points.
Senior goalkeeper Caitlin Boden joins Maryland after three seasons at James Madison. Boden concluded her JMU career ranked fifth in program history in saves (196) and 19th in save percentage (.438).
Maryland also welcomes nine freshmen, led by Ava Meyn and Sofia Herrera, both of whom were named to the Inside Lacrosse Freshman Power 100. Meyn was ranked No. 7, while Herrera checked in at No. 37. Meyn was also named USA Lacrosse Northeast Player of the Year.
