Buzz Williams' Breakdown:
  • "We just fouled too much and gave them too many shot attempts and offensive rebounds."
  • "I don't think our guys were selfish at all. I think they've been doing a better job making decisions with the ball. I thought we shot better shots. Our shot diet was fine, we just have to make more of them."
  • "We've done a good job this season in limiting our fouls up through this point."
  • "We tried to influence the types of threes they shot and who was shooting them."
  • "Darius' footwork is as good as anybody I've coached at his age."
  • "We're playing harder. We're playing more together. Our practices are more impactful in how we're spending our itinerary. We're having momentum in the process. We'll keep building on the things we know we're having success with."
Saunders' Sweet Shooting:
  • "I took advantage of the mismatches, I took the green-light shots, and let the game come to me."
  • "I felt like we did a good job getting everyone involved. We've just got to continue to endure the challenge."
  • "We had a big emphasis coming into the game on stopping their best shooters. I thought we were able to do that in the first half."
  • "Whatever job you're called to do is the one you have to find ways to succeed in."
Up Next:
  • Maryland heads to the West Coast to take on UCLA on Jan. 10. Tipoff is set for 8 PM and the game will air on FOX.
