COLLEGE PARK, MD – With the 2026-27 season just under a month away, the Big Ten Conference announced today its league-wide television assignments as well as tip times.
Highlighting the slate will be the February 13 home game against Indiana airing on FOX at Noon. That will serve as Maryland's 25th Anniversary Celebration of the 2002 NCAA National Championship. The 2002 National Championship Team will return to College Park and be recognized at the game against the Hoosiers who the Terps defeated to win the title. The first 12,000 fans will receive commemorative national championship anniversary hats inspired by those presented to the 2002 team, and fans can participate in a Fan Fest, with more details to follow.
A total of 18 games will be split between BTN and FS1. Maryland will also have seven games, including the Georgetown and Virginia games on Peacock which can also be viewed on linear television on NBC Sports Network.
Both preseason exhibition games will be streamed on B1G+ as will the season-opener against Bucknell (11/2), the home game against Wagner (11/20), and the home game against American (12/2).
The Terps' scheduled game in the Players Era Championship Tournament against Tennessee (Nov. 24, 3 PM ET) will air on ESPN. The Terps will then play Iowa State or San Diego State on Thursday, Nov. 26 and a third scheduled game on Friday, Nov. 27 with both on the ESPN network family.
The full schedule can be found HERE.
Maryland fans will have their first chance to see the Terps in action this Sunday, October 11 in an exhibition game against Georgia Tech hosted by UMBC at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena. Additional season-long themes, color rush, and game promotions will also be announced soon.
All home games at XFINITY Center will feature special themes and nods to the 2002 championship squad including a commemorative series of cups sold at all concession stands. A portion of all proceeds from the commemorative cups will go to a newly established 2002 Men's Basketball National Championship Endowment that provides funds to continue to elevate the men's basketball program. Additionally, all season ticket members who have held tickets since the 2001-02 season will be honored at a game this season.
The January 16 game against Illinois will be another special promotional date featuring an exclusive Hall of Fame coach Gary Williams bobblehead giveaway. The first 10,000 fans will receive the bobblehead; every season ticket account will also be guaranteed a bobblehead. This game will also coincide with the annual men's basketball alumni weekend with many former players returning to College Park.
The year-long celebration will begin on November 2 against Bucknell, the season-opener, with a Turn Back the Clock Night featuring select discounted concessions items and throwback elements during the game.
Be part of the tradition all season long.
