Reese's Notes:
  • "I'm proud of our team's effort today, and it was fun."
  • "I thought we did great on the draw. I love that."
  • "This is always a hard-fought game. JMU's a really tough team, and they give us battles every single year. I'm proud of us for all the effort, and glad to come away with the win in College Park."
  • "JJ made some great saves, but defensively, we sent help when we needed to, which was good. We tried to make it harder for them to beat us one-on-one, and I thought our girls did a good job of that."
  • "Kristen's an excellent eight-meter shooter. She can score when she's put on the eight meter, so obviously she's going to have the green light every time she's there."
Shanahan's Sweet Six:
  • I have full confidence in every single girl in the attack being able to handle and beat the pressure with pressure."
  • We look at it one play at a time. It's the little details that help us go 1-0 every time we have the ball."
  • "I think it's even more exciting that we haven't even reached our full potential yet. We're 7-0 and getting better every single day. It should be scary."
Suriano's Solid Saturday:
  • "It really came down to everyone stepping up. I think everyone on our defensive end gels so well together, and we play as a unit, and the more that we play as a unit, the more saves I'm able to make. I'm not going to make saves without my defensive unit in front of me, so I give a lot of credit to the girls in front of me making my job a lot easier."
