The Maryland men's tennis team had a tough time on Wednesday afternoon, falling to the Florida State Seminoles, 7-0. The loss drops Maryland to 8-7 on the season and 0-6 in ACC conference play.
In singles action, Troy Demers fell to Mat Cloer, 6-0, 6-1, in the No.1 singles position. Ian Bliss lost to Ytai Abougzir, 6-2, 6-1. Scott Fink fell to Jeff Groslimond in a tough first set, 7-5. Groslimond closed out the match, with a 6-2 second set victory. Chris Westerhof topped David Reichsfeld, 6-2, 6-4. Ben Graham fell to Sam Chang, 6-1, 6-4. Chip Webb defeated Josh Brauser, 6-2, 6-3.
The Seminoles also swept the three doubles matches to win the doubles point. The Terps will look to get back on track on Sunday morning, as the team returns to the friendly confines of the Tennis Center at College Park.
Maryland will face the Miami Hurricanes, on Sunday morning at 11 a.m.
